All are welcome here to walk with Jesus as we love, learn and flourish.

Class 3 w/c 23rd March

Here we are in our first week of our home/school adventure. We hope you can join in as much as possible. Each week we will make sure you have plenty of ideas to keep you busy.

If you haven’t yet thought about it – we recommend that you find a way to exercise every single day. If you need an idea, how about P.E. with Joe?

Click here to download the full week’s ideas or check out this page to find ideas and tips for different subjects.

Ideas for

Try to think a lot about money this week. If you get the chance, help with a shopping trip and when you’re home, use the receipt to help with making problems to solve.

Ideas

As a writing stimulus this week we are going to be working with a favourite film – writing a review, thinking about the characters, describing the setting and then working up to creating our own scene which could be added to the film. Why not let us know in the comments here what your favourite film is?

In we have

been thinking about light. We have thought about how light travels and how it enters the eye. We have also looked at shadows. This week, can you create a puppet show using torchlight – think about shadow puppets – can you make your puppets out of something opaque?

  1. Thankyou for all these ideas. Getting started already. Lots of skipping in the sunshine after lunch and then back to home learning for Annie

  2. Chloe has done maths from the council tax bill, programme review, read Wednesday words, wordsearches, skipping, dance routines, getting mum to do crazy exercise moves so she can laugh at me, watched animals on Edinburgh Zoo live and made her own creature. He is a yellow blooded mohoganu called Grumble bean. I will post pics x

Following Boris Johnson’s 8pm announcement we now know that as of midnight tonight the country has entered a new period of Lockdown, a Lockdown that includes the closure of school.

School will be open for the children of Key Workers and for pupils who are deemed vulnerable. All pupils will be provided with work in order for them to keep learning.

Tonight’s announcement was very short notice for you as parents and also for us as a Staff. Tomorrow, by 11am there will be three tasks on the school website for each Class to complete as their Tuesday learning. However, School will be closed to ALL pupils tomorrow.

Staff, however, will be in school preparing for the rest of the Lockdown. Through tomorrow we will prepare school to make it safe for Key worker pupils and vulnerable children to return.

We will send out a form for you to apply for a place in the Keyworker Bubbles and we will let you know more about how children will be learning remotely. We will do our very best to re-open to Key Worker children and vulnerable pupils by Wednesday.

I am aware of how difficult this is for you all, School closing creates a multitude of problems for everyone but data surrounding this awful disease dictates that this is a necessary step. As ever, the safety and health of everyone must be a priority.

Thank you for your continued support and we will be in frequent contact over the next few days.

Many thanks
