Psalm 150:6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
In English this week we finished reading The Rickshaw Girl and completed some short writing activities linked with the book.
In maths we have been looking at capacity and also at translating shapes and coordinates. If you’re looking for extra games to do with capacity this Coconut Shy is pretty good – you can set it to practise other things as well. It’s tablet friendly (just remember to click on the full screen arrows. We also liked this pouring game. We are also very excited about the trout. They have all hatched and are now known as avelins – this is because even though they have hatched they still carry their yolk with them for food. Every day we check them for any growth and we have to ensure the water is the right temperature. They are still very small and very hard to spot but we’ll send photos as soon as we have some good ones!
In science we have been learning about the digestive system. And in RE we have been thinking about giving and receiving.
In art we have looked at Rangoli and Alpana patterns (linked to the Rickshaw Girl) – we have looked at lots of different designs and made some of our own.
